The Serbian president declared today that Serbia will resume dialogue with Kosovo in October.
During a press conference, the Serbian president announced that the talks will enter into a new phase, adding that 99% of Kosovo’s people have voted for an independent state.
The Serbian President emphasized that he has supported the inclusion of the “Serbian List” in the new government of Ramush Haradinaj, the new Prime Minister of Kosovo.
But, the Serbian president adds, that he has not changed his opinion about Kosovo’s Prime Minister, who has been accused by Serbia of war crimes.
“We will start a new period of dialogue from October. Dialogue should be institutionalized.
“A report on talks with Kosovo will be made public, which will include the results of talks in the recent 3 years and all the actions the government of Serbia has taken regarding the issue of Kosovo since 1998.
“When you read the report, you will see how complicated our history is and how many mistakes were made” – declared the Serbian President.
The Serbian President warned that a change in his stance regarding Kosovo does come with one condition – the integration of Serbia into the European Union.
In May of 2015, the Serbian president told the “Wall Street Journal” that he would consider constitutional changes until the end of 2017, including the removal of defining Kosovo as part of Serbia.
