The state administration does not have the necessary infrastructure to include small businesses in Value Added Tax.
This concern was raised during a discussion between the Director of the Tax Institution and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The expert of fiscal politics at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry raised the concern that this initiative will add costs for small businesses at a time when the tax administration is not ready.
The inclusion of small businesses in VAT has not been studied.
But the director of the tax institution declared that this matter is still under discussion and they have not reached a final draft.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry also requested that the operation against informality be conducted based on the law.
Meanwhile the director of the tax institution promised that there will be less controls conducted by the tax inspectors.
The director of the tax institution appealed to businesses not to work with two balance sheets and to declare the real wages of their employees.
